JULY 2009 FAMILY UPDATES!!

So it has been a while since I updated, this summer has been really busy. Fridays I watch Chaz and I don't do a thing except play!!!!! He is such a great blessing, my "monkey" is my favorite thing in the world. I have nicknamed him "monkey" since he climbs all over me. Here is a cute family pic of the Barkers this weekend, they took Chaz on his first camping trip, all three of them in the same tent, I mean all four.....can't forget Turbo. Andrew and Veronica are in the final stages of buying their new house, it is brand new and pretty close to Rachel and Brett. They haven't closed yet but are very close, they are really excited to enter into this next stage of life together. I don't have any pics of the house yet so those will be up next month. Here is really cute pic of the two of them:)

Jesse is here in Utah this month visiting, he is thinking of moving to San Jose when he returns to the bay area, he likes living in a big city, lots more opportunities etc. He has produced a few live shows while in Santa Cruz and has done well, he has the guts to pursue his dream and he is going for it. Sorry no updated pics of Jesse:(

Ash, Jimmie and Lyric are still in San Francisco living the city life, Lyric is going to be starting day care a few days a week to start learning to interact with kids his age, etc. He is really smart and loves to talk to Grandpa on Skype. What a great tool for us to use to get to actually see him and talk to him rather than just on the phone, Grandpa loves it and I have to remind him that Lyric is a three year old and has quite a short attention span, he loves to read his books to us on Skype.

August is going to be a busy month, we are planning our annual family vacation and had decided to go to Southern Cal this year, go to Sea World, the beach and lots of fun stuff. Our family has almost doubled in a matter of 2 years so this will be quite an adventure I am sure, with 2 little ones now. You can be assured I will have alot of pics from that trip posted at the end of August.

HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY TO MY PRINCESS!!!

So Rachel turns 21 today. It is funny she says that when you are younger, you anticipate turning 21 so much and although she is a little excited that she can can order a beer if she wants but she is more excited about buying Chaz a new toy or learning mobile to help him sleep in his crib. Wow how our priorities change when we become parents. She is not only the most amazing daughter in the world but I am so proud of the mommy she is, she is so attentive, loving and kind and I think she knows everything about everything. She is constantly reading or researching Chaz' progress, researching and buying toys that get good reviews only, pumping in the closet at work, and she is so patient with the little guy, I am more amazed at her every time I see her interact with Chaz, he is a very lucky little boy to have her as a mommy. I wish her every happiness she deserves and love her with all of my heart plus.

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY

So it is Memorial Day Weekend; the official "kick-off" to summer, and the weather in Utah is cloudy and overcast:( I was supposed to go boating with Andrew and my sister Susan today but when I woke up it was ugly and cloudy so I decided not to go, I hope they aren't freezing. They have been camping since yesterday, and were going to take out Andrew's new boat. I think I will wait until July when there is a very little chance of "yucky" weather! This holiday isn't just about having an extra day off but a time of rememberance, although I personally do not have anyone close to me currently serving in the military I do think and pray about all of those families who do. I pray each night and am so thankful for the sacrificies not only our soldiers make for our freedom but for their families who I am sure are constantly worried and concerned for their safety. I hope you all enjoy the post and pictures here; my most precious and treasured blessings in the world, those I am truly thankful for. Enjoy, Love Carla

IS IT BRIGHT IN HERE OR IS JUST ME????

Chaz celebrated his first Easter with the whole family!!! Uncle Andrew and Aunt Veronica gave him some really cute sun glasses. He loves to cuddle in grandpa's arms. He weighed in at just 7lbs last week at his 2 month check up, and even though he is still a tiny guy he is really healthy and doing great. He is sleeping 4-5 hour intervals during the night and is just an amazing baby. Last Friday was our first official babysitting day since mommy had to go back to work. I have to admit it was "Good Friday" in more ways than one. I swear his cheeks must weigh at least as half as much as the rest of his body!!! I hope you enjoy the pictures and will continue to post more often as he is getting more of a personality and is alot of fun to play with, I would take more pics if I could let him out of my arms for more than a minute, he is a "cuddle bug".

CHAZ IS NOW 5 WEEKS OLD!!!!!

Time goes by so fast, Chaz is already 5 weeks old, he is really healthy we are just trying to get his weight up, as of Wednesday he is up to 5lb 4oz. He is such a joy, I love spending time with him, giving him "granny" cuddles. His mommy and daddy are doing such a great job as parents as well. Mommy has been taking lots of pictures while at home so here are a few of my favorites, (yeah right, they are all my favorite but to many to post!!) GRANNY'S LITTLE ANGEL LOVE!!!!!!

Things are going so well with Chaz that the doctor issued him a challenge today and said she is going to remove the feeding tube and see if he can continue to eat regular amounts at regular 3 hour intervals. Mommy and Daddy are anxiously waiting for them to release him so that he can go home with them, they are already amazing parents driving from one end of Ogden to the other every 3 hours to feed him and give them their love. He is so cute, he has his mommys cute button nose and daddy's eyes and full lips!! and beautiful black hair. He has several nick-names; Chazomatic, ChazO, and Chazmania but I have officially named him my "Angel Love" and we had our first photo shoot, please enjoy the pictures and keep the Barker family in your thoughts and prayers!!!
